Seicha - Matcha Yuzu
The small citrus fruit yuzu, originally cultivated in China and Tibet, is nowadays a very popular crop grown mainly in Japan and Korea. Its extremely fresh taste and delightful aroma resembles tangerine. The origin of yuzu is not clear but it is most likely a cross between tangerine and another citrus called Ichang papeda (Citrus ichangensis). Physically, yuzu differs from its more famous citrus brothers - the fruit is smaller, usually yellow or green and it's peel is typically very uneven.
